AJ Mclean Newark Concert reviews
dissatisfaction with the sound system at concert
I purchased two tickets to see my husband’s favorite female singer, AJ McLean for his 70th birthday. We had great seats (201 I-1 and I-2), however the sound crew must have set up the event improperly. Possibly the reverb system was too much for the venue, as we were unable to understand anything at all that she sung, the sound was extremely loud, and none of the words she sang were able to be understood. After only 3 songs, my husband said he wanted to leave; we simply purchased one of her CD’s so that we could actually hear what she was trying to sing in the proper setting and sound. We were not at all unhappy with Ms. McBride’s attempts to perform, we were unhappy with the way the sound was set up in the concert hall. Since we spent $105 to hear only 3 songs (and those were not able to be understood), and that we had driven 2 ½ hrs to get to the concert, we were not happy with the evening at all.
